Minerva Park Community Pool Closing Policy

Temperature Policy

• The pool will open if the air temperature is 65 degrees or warmer.
• The pool will not open if the temperature is below 65 degrees.
• If the temperature drops below 65 degrees during operating hours, the pool will close.
• Based on forecast and condition, the Pool Manager will decide if the pool will or will not reopen the same day.

Inclement Weather Policy

• If there is thunder or lightning, the pool will be cleared and remain clear until 30 minutes after the last incident occurred.
  • Guests are asked to gather their belongings and take cover in their vehicles, the restrooms, or a safe space until the “all clear” is given.
• The Pool Manager will make determination of the pool will reopen if the delay continues to extend.
  • If the pool is cleared due to inclement weather at or after 6pm, the pool will close for the remainder of the day.

Low attendance Policy

• If there are less than 5 members and/or guests for one hour, the pool will close. If the pool closes, guest may be provided a raincheck for a return (if the closure due to number occurs after 6pm, NO raincheck will be provided)
• The pool manager will determine if the pool opens later that day.

Capacity Policy

• On days the pool experiences larger than normal crowds, daily admissions sales may be suspended giving priority access to our season members and our pre-purchased guest passes.

Reduced Hours Policy

• Staff shortages
• Chemical Imbalances
• Mechanical Failures
• Other as determined by the Pool Manager
